7. PROGROSS REPORTS <br />a. Downtown Negotiations, R -66: Mr. Hubert M. DOWNTOWN NEGOTIATIONS' <br />Weaver, Downtown Negotiator,,submitted a written report R -66 <br />advising the rotal number of parcels optioned to date <br />is 150, at a purchase price of $6,885,921.00; with titles <br />taken on 144, at a cost of $5,907,832.00. The amount of <br />the budgeted funds is $13,010,220.00, less the optioned <br />parcels at a purchasepprice of $6,885,921.00, leaving a <br />balance of $6,124,299.00. The amount paid into court <br />on condemnation cases is $2,412,575.00. <br />b. Business Relocation, R -66: Mr. Paul E. Becher BUSINESS RELOCATION, <br />Commercial Re ocation Director, advised in his - written R -66 <br />report that before the Commission today for approval are <br />relocation claims from thirteen (13) business concerns. <br />This includes nine (9) claims for moving expenses total- <br />ling $36,782.(9, seven (7) claims for direct loss of I <br />property tote ling $8,015.42, and three (3) claims for <br />the Small Business Displacement Payment totalling <br />$7,500.00. Tie total cost of all claims is $52,297.51. <br />In addition t the above, there is also one claim for <br />moving expens s for a temporary on -site move, -in the <br />amount of $2,-)74.50. This amount will be charged to <br />Property Mana ement Account. <br />c. Reha ilitation Report: 'Mr. Richard A. Madison, REHABILITATION REPORT <br />Rehabilitatio Director, submitted a written report on _ <br />the following: <br />R -57 Project: <br />Eight rehabilitation homes have been re- inspected; 1) R -57 <br />two Section 312 Loans have been submitted to HUD <br />Chicago OffiCE and awaiting approval; the Financial <br />Advisors are presently processing 40 applicants for <br />loans an (/or grants, as follows: 19 loans, 11 grants,. <br />4 combin tion loan and grant, and 6 undetermined. <br />R -66 Project: <br />Site at 1117 South Michigan Street has been inspected 2) R -66 <br />five tim s by our inspectors. <br />E -3 Project: <br />Staff has been working on reference files for 3) E -3 <br />initiation of E -3 Project. <br />Model Cities: <br />Seven inspections have been made in this area. 4) MODEL CITIES <br />-16- <br />
