<br />g. Re-Appraisal of Parcel No. 6-1: Mr. Bruce C.
<br />Hammerschmidt, Commission Legal Counsel, requested
<br />Commission authorization to have'Parcel No. 6-1 _'r_e7
<br />appraised,, both by S. M. Dix Associates, Inc. and our
<br />three appraisers. This parcel is located at 217 E.
<br />Jefferson Boulevard, in the Central Downtown•Urban
<br />Renewal Project, R-66. A misunderstanding about the
<br />value and inclusion of the boiler suggested a new
<br />set of appraisals was needed.
<br />On mo ion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney,
<br />Parcel No. 6-1 was authorized to be re-appraised.
<br />Said otion was unanimously carried.
<br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS
<br />a. Downtown Negotiations: Mr. Hubert M. Weaver,
<br />Downtown Negotiator, reported that 1.26 options have
<br />been signed to date,, at a total, cost of $5,429,148.00;
<br />titles acquired to date are 107, at a total cost of
<br />$4,816,992.00. The total budgeted funds are
<br />$13,010,,220.00, less total cost to date of option
<br />costs of $5,429,148.00, or.a: ba.lance of.$7,581,072.00.
<br />t. Business Relocation: Mr. Paul. E. Becher
<br />Commeicial ffelocation Director, advised two smal, busl,
<br />ness (isTlacement payments at $2,500.00 each., and one
<br />movinc claim for $162'00 are before the Commission
<br />today. There are two over $10,000.00 claims currently in revIiew by the Chicago HUD R ' egional Offic'e,.with
<br />concurrence expected shortly.
<br />c. Rehabilitation Report, R-57: Mr. Richard A.
<br />'Madison, Rehabilitation Director, advised 22 re
<br />inspections were made in the R-57 project during the
<br />month of February and to date. Four progress inspec-
<br />tions ave from 80% to 95% rehabilitation completed.
<br />One fi al inspection was-made on Parcel 'No. 21-6,
<br />locate at 250 North Illi'nois.'
<br />George Cimermancic currently has eight new brick homes
<br />under�onstruction.
<br />Mr. Madison stated the Model Cities, trainees are
<br />progressing relativel_y well inn cl'as'ses and are I re-
<br />ceiving on-the-job training during hours not Tn claiss.
