O'Sullivan <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 25-2019 — A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA AUTHORIZING STAFF TO EFFECT <br />TRANSACTION <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION 25-2019 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AUTHORIZING STAFF TO EFFECT TRANSACTION <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of Public Works (the "Board") has <br />custody of and may maintain all real and personal property of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br />(the "City") pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-9-6-3; and <br />WHEREAS, St. Joseph County, Indiana (the "County") has agreed to transfer to the City <br />certain parcels of property within the City, as set forth on Exhibit A, that have remained unsold <br />at tax sale pursuant to Indiana Code Section 6-1.1-24 (the "Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, to carry out the intention of the agreement, the Board desires to allow a City <br />employee to execute documents related to the Property transfer on its behalf. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of <br />Public Works as follows: <br />1. The Board authorizes Pamela Meyer of the City's Department of Community <br />Investment, in conjunction with a review by the City's Department of Law, to execute any <br />documents required to effectuate the Property transfer. <br />2. This Resolution will be in full force and effect upon its adoption. <br />ADOPTED at a meeting of the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, held on July 23, 2019, at 1308 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Gary A.
