He stated that he would like to have an update whether via
the Justice Department, that is where he would like it from. Whether those tapes were
actually sent and also received. Clearly communication gets a little lacked and muffled,
so he asking and requesting that the Clerk’s office send out a letter to the Justice
Department to the address that the Administration has sent all the tapes to, so that they
can get some feedback based upon whether they received them, have them, and that they
are going to be investigating the tapes, or hearing the tapes like we have requested.

Councilmember Henry Davis asked to have a presentation from Redevelopment
regarding the Renaissance District. He stated that we are obviously embarking upon a
new industry here in South Bend and he thinks that it would be very valuable for
Councilmember’s to hear the Renaissance District in all that it is supposed to perform and
do for the City of South Bend. He stated that he has had that presentation, had an
opportunity to hear that presentation, but there is a part 2 that is dealing with the energy
AEP, the City just purchased land on the corner of Sample & Lafayette, moving
Hamilton Towing in the excess of $1 million dollars, and he wants to make sure that the
City Council is aware of what is going on, how the dollars are spent, but also the timeline
for the Renaissance District and what it means for the total City of South Bend.
