<br />Know all men by these presents, That ' we L. H. Webster of the
<br />County of St. Joseph State of Indiana, as pr inc ipal, and London & Lancashire Indemnity
<br />Company of America of the County of New York and State of New York as sureties, are held
<br />and firmly bound to the City of South Bend, Ind-Iana in the sum of Two_ Thousand eight
<br />hundred and forty one ($2,841.00) Dollars for the payment for which, well Iand;truly
<br />to be m le, we jointly and severally bond ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators
<br />and ass igns, firmly by these presents.

<br />This shall be a construction bond, and the sureties on the same
<br />shall not be held res.pmsible for the maintenance and repair of the improvement after
<br />it has been acdepted by .the second party, but such sureties shall be held responsible
<br />for the faithful a ompl iance with all other conditions, stipulations, and requirements,
<br />covered by or set out in this contract.
