THE TRAINING OF ALL APPRENTICES SHALL <br />INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING WORK UNITS, BUT NOT NECESSARILY IN THE SEQUENCE LISTED. <br />THE TIME REQUIRED IN THE DIFFERENT UNITS OF THE TRADE MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED <br />FOR CERTAIN INDIVIDUAL APPRENTICES, BUT RETENTION OF THE APRENTICE ON A <br />PARTICULAR OPERATION BEYOND THE ESTABLISHED TIME SHOULD NOT OCCUR UNLESS <br />THERE IS A DEFINATE NEED FOR FURTHER TRAINING AT THAT STEP. <br />Fair Labor Standards Act: Employers should ascertain if any of their activities are covered in this act. <br />Employees in covered activities, including apprentices, must be paid time and one-half for all hours <br />worked over forty (40) hours per week. <br />Davis Bacon Act. On work sites covered by prevailing wage law, required Journeyworker rate and <br />corresponding apprentice wages for that project may exceed those stated in this document. <br />
