Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Kain said he did not believe it would. <br />Mr. Varner asked what the value of a rack is. <br />Mr. Inks responded that there is no value <br />unless they're in use. <br />Mr. Downes asked if it was the plan to use <br />the racks. Mr. Inks responded that the plan is <br />to look for opportunities to use them. Staff <br />checked with the City's IT Department and is <br />not aware of any great opportunity right now, <br />but perhaps in the future. In speaking with <br />other businesses, staff thinks it may be able <br />to use them as part of our business <br />development activities. <br />Mr. Downes asked whether the Architectural <br />Review Committee, would have to approve <br />all design. Mr. Kain responded that it would, <br />because of the PUD that is in place.. <br />Mr. Davis asked who won the bid for <br />construction of the Data Realty project. Mr. <br />Kain responded that Data Realty bid out its <br />own project and that Turner Construction is <br />the general contractor. <br />Mr. Davis asked if MBE and WBE were part <br />of the consideration. Mr. Inks responded that <br />staff did not put those in as requirements in <br />the agreements but we did have those <br />conversations. Turner was selected for this <br />project because of its work on the Kroc <br />Center and the success they had with the <br />MBE and the WBE's there. <br />14 <br />
