Once the environmental remediation
is complete at the ME site, work with Indiana
Department of Environmental Management
to provide USTC with a comfort letter
allowing USTC to purchase the Millennium
Site without any environmental liability or
claims of lien holders. We have that for the
north half of the site; the state has committed
by April 19 to have the southern half of the
site cleaned so then staff will work to get a
letter for the full site. The site won't be sold
until staff receives the letter.
3. Initiate and support the vacation of
United Drive; work with adjacent property
owners to maintain reasonable access. There
is a street vacation request that goes to the
Common Council at its next meeting. The
Board of Public Works has approved the
street vacation subject to an MOU or an
agreement with the Redevelopment
Commission on this project.
Mr. Downes asked if staff anticipates any
issues from property owners with the
vacation of this property. Mr. Schalliol
responded that we will continue to work with
the owners of adjacent properties if there are
any.
4.
