REGULAR MEETING October 8, 2018 Councilmember John Voorde stated, I would like to thank our Council Attorney. Councilmember Sharon L. McBride stated,I did buy my brick at the Charles Black Center because I was born and raised on that side of town. You should buy one (1). Councilmember Jo M. Broden announced, The Regional Planning Council Meeting to follow up on the Inter-Agency Director of Homeless Services request, there are fifteen (15) organizations and thirty(30)supporting signatures to look at that.We had spoken about that earlier.That meeting is this Thursday at 11:30 a.m. and that will be held at the Center for the Homeless on the third(3`d) flood. That is an open meeting. Councilmember Oliver Davis stated, Just for the record, and he is not here tonight and probably running in a race but I did represent the Council at Mr. Robert F. Goodchild's stones. Thank you, Mr. Perri. Thank you. You know why I'm saying it like that. Hello,thank you. We got that. He is extremely excited and I spoke on behalf of us and glad to have helped out. It was a nice event and it turned out really nice except he had Green Bay Packer cake. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR Samuel Brown, 222 East Navarre Street, South Bend, IN, stated, I want to start off by thanking Ms.Preston.The bus tour that was in your district,because of that,I was able to talk to a gentleman named John Martinez from the Park's Department and there was a tree that needed to be taken down for three (3) years. One (1) of the houses by the tree had a garage and a lot of the tree was hanging over it. When we took that tour, Mr. Martinez came over to the house and marked that tree would be a danger and he took it down. We need more bus tours to go through our neighborhoods to see what our citizens need. I want to thank you for doing that. Frank's Place, that is a simple solution. They have to get licensed and professional security in that parking lot and inside the building. It has to be done. We have to make it safe. I know what I would do. Trust me.
