White called to order the Residential Neighborhoods Committee <br /> meeting at 5:32p.m.In way of background information,at our previous Residential Neighborhoods <br /> Committee Meeting, we had Clerk Kareemah Fowler and representatives from the Charles Black <br /> Neighborhood Center, and Aaron Perri who is over the Parks and Recreational Centers in the City <br /> of South Bend. The purpose of today's meeting is to continue the conversations that we had on <br /> July 18th.At that time members of the Lasalle Park Alliance came before the South Bend Common <br /> Council and presented five (5) priorities that you had been working on and wanted to make sure <br /> that the Council was aware and also to bring about action. At that meeting, the Council President <br /> shared your concerns and referred those concerns to my committee, which is the Residential <br /> Neighborhoods Committee. <br /> Committeemember Jo M. Broden arrived at the meeting at 5:45p.m. <br /> Committee Chair White stated, We had our first (1St) meeting and I have been in conversations <br /> with your president and with others to see ways in which we can develop strategies to one (1) <br /> ensure transparency and communication, but most importantly to work on the strategies in terms <br /> of those five (5) priorities that we can move to action. I am going to turn it over to your President <br /> Henry Davis, Jr. to see if you have any questions or any comments you would like to raise at this <br /> particular time. <br /> Henry Davis, Jr. stated, Before you all came, we were just discussing informally about what <br /> happened at the last meeting. Before we even take off, we always start this off with higher <br /> authority, so I am going to ask Elder Plump if you wouldn't mind opening us up in a word of <br /> prayer.
