Land Planners <br />July 12, 2018 <br />RE: Alley Vacation — Alley Vacation — First North/South Alley lying East of Lafayette Boulevard <br />and West of Main Street, bounded on the North by the South right-of-way of West Marion Street, <br />bounded on the South by the North right-of-way of Madison Street, running 408 feet -I-/- in length, <br />all in South Bend, Indiana; <br />Dear Board Members: <br />On behalf of our clients we are requesting approval of the vacation of a portion of the First North/South <br />Alley lying East of Lafayette Boulevard and West of Main Street, bounded on the North by the South right- <br />of-way of West Marion Street, bounded on the South by the North right-of-way of Madison Street, running <br />408 feet +/- in length, all in South Bend, Indiana. <br />The reason for this request is to allow for the properties located on either side of the proposed alley to <br />be enlarged and to close a public right-of-way which allows for vehicles using the alley to come within a <br />few feet of the two existing adjacent homes and allows vehicles to cross through an existing parking lot. <br />The Petitioners desire to increase the safety in the use of their properties through the proposed vacation. <br />Closure of this existing North -South alley will not be detrimental to any surrounding property as the <br />petitioners own all adjacent real estate on either side of the proposed vacated alley. <br />If you have any questions concerning this matter, please feel free to give me a call at 574-234-4003. <br />Sincerely, <br />I'f �6 ACC.
