2. Kick-off and Design Review Meetings. Meet with Client to Dick -off the project including a site <br />visit to perform field investigations. Meet with the client to review deliverables and design progress <br />for 90% design (conference call). In addition to these meetings, up to two conference calls are <br />included to share progress and resolve outstanding items. <br />3. Pump Evaluation. Gather information on the pump as part of the site visit. In addition, review the <br />inspection report by Power Plant Services Corporation and confirm that rebuilding the pump is a cost- <br />effective solution that provides the required capacity and reliability. Obtain information on the existing <br />motor and consult with the motor manufacturer to ensure compatibility with the rebuilt pump. <br />Summarize results in a brief memorandum. <br />4. Construction Drawings. Prepare construction drawings to show the general scope, extent and <br />character of the work to be furnished and performed by Contractor. Two 11 "x 17" drawings are <br />anticipated and will be bound in the Project Manual. <br />5. Project Manual. Prepare a Project Manual to include invitation to bidders, instructions to bidders, <br />bid form, form of agreement, bond forms, general conditions and supplementary conditions (all of <br />which shall be consistent with the forms and pertinent guide sheets prepared by the Engineers Joint <br />Contract Documents Committee), and Specifications (which will be prepared in conformance with <br />the 50-division format of the Construction Specifications Institute). <br />G. Opinion of Construction Costs. Prepare engineer's opinions of probable construction costs for <br />each deliverable, <br />7. Construction Schedule. Prepare construction schedule establishing advertisement dates, bid opening, <br />notice -to -proceed, and critical construction milestone dates for each deliverable. <br />8. Bid Assistance. Assist Client in advertising for bids. Provide ARC Reprographics with Bidding <br />Documents for their distribution to plan holders. ARC Reprographics will distribute the documents <br />and maintain a record of plan holders. Prepare addenda as appropriate and provide to ARC <br />Reprographics for their distribution. A pre -Bid meeting is not included and if request will be <br />conducted by Client. Prepare bid tabulation, review bids, and recommend to Client regarding the <br />award of the construction contract. <br />Upon successful completion of the bidding phase, the following contruction services apply. <br />9. General Administration of Construction Contract. Consult with Owner and act as Owner's <br />representative as provided in the Construction Contract. The extent and limitations of the duties, <br />responsibilities, and authority of Engineer as assigned in the Construction Contract shall not be <br />modified, except as Engineer may otherwise agree in writing. All of Owner's instructions to Contractor <br />will be issued through Engineer, which shall have authority to act on behalf of Owner in dealings with <br />Contractor to the extent provided in this Agreement and the Construction Contract except as otherwise <br />provided in writing. <br />10. Pre -Construction Conference. Participate in a Pre -Construction Conference prior to commencement <br />of Work at the Site. The conference will be attended by Engineer. <br />11. Schedules.
