17.0 EQUIPMENT FURNISHED <br />The ambulance cab shall be equipped with an OEM supplied in -dash air conditioner <br />and a hot water heater. The patient compartment shall be equipped with a <br />combination hot water heaterlair conditioner and a power exhaust vent. Front and <br />rear heaters and air conditioners shall operate as separate and independent <br />environmental systems. The controls for the rear environmental systems shall be <br />located in the action area switch panel. The addition of the rear HVAC system shall <br />have no deleterious effect upon the chassis system and especially the windshield <br />defroster system as described in FMVSS 103, Windshield Defrosting and Defogging <br />System. <br />17.1 A combination heater/air conditioner having an air output of 650 cfm at 0 static <br />pressure, a cooling capacity of 32,000 BTU and a heating capacity of 35,000 BTU <br />shall be installed above the walk-through door on the front bulkhead. There shall be <br />two insulated plenums running the full length of the modular body in the ceiling with <br />(4) adjustable outlet vents in each plenum. There shall also be one adjustable outlet <br />vent on the front bulkhead. This system shall be certified to KKK standards by a <br />third party test facility and a copy of the test results shall be included with the bid. <br />17.2 For durability purposes, metal "Y's" shall be used for heater hose tie in. <br />17.3 An auxiliary air conditioner condenser with dryer shall be provided under the <br />body. <br />17.4 The patient compartment heat and air conditioning shall be controlled and <br />maintained through a digital, manually controlled thermostat. <br />18.0 ALS CABINET <br />An Advanced Life Support cabinet shall be provided in the right side of the forward <br />wall. It shall be divided into sections to accommodate the storage of sensitive <br />equipment and supplies, such as ALS equipment, Laerdal charger, medical boxes, <br />etc. The ALS cabinet and all shelves shall be finished with black Line-X, sprayed on <br />rubber coating. <br />18.0.1 The upper compartment shall have a top hinged, single door with a locking <br />SouthCo round latch. <br />18.0.2 The bottom compartment shall have three (3] adjustable, .125" aluminum <br />shelves with a 1 '/2" lip on all sides, mounted on "C" channel style tracking. <br />18.0.3 The bottom compartment shall be open faced with no doors. <br />19.0 VACUUM FORMED UPHOLSTRY <br />All seating and backrests (including the technician's seat) in the patient compartment <br />shall be constructed of 60 ounce vacuum formed, seamless vinyl. <br />20.1 MACHINE STITCHED UPHOLSTERY <br />All trim panels in the patient compartment shall be constructed of minimum 32 ounce <br />53 <br />Y A <br />Y_v/Nā <br />Y āN <br />YZ T <br />Y ,IN <br />Y.
