Airport Economic Development Area <br /> (5) continued... <br /> Mr. Relos noted that 1526 S. Catalpa. was <br /> added to the Airport Economic Development <br /> Area Acquisition List by Resolution <br /> No. 2668 on May 21, 2010. This particular <br /> property is a two story vacant house in poor <br /> condition. It is a three bedroom, one bath, <br /> 1,392 square foot structure. <br /> This property was purchased by the <br /> Commission in the March 2010 County <br /> Commissioner Tax Sale, and was later <br /> redeemed. It is currently listed on the <br /> County's September 14, 2011 tax sale for the <br /> $2,040.16 in back taxes. The property could <br /> be redeemed again between now and tax sale <br /> time. <br /> Resolution No. 2930 sets the acquisition <br /> value of the property at $2,500. Staff <br /> requests approval. <br /> Mr. Varner asked whether the property could <br /> be redeemed after it goes to tax sale. Mr. <br /> Relos responded that the owner would have <br /> to pay all the back taxes this time in order to <br /> redeem it. According to the Auditor's Office, <br /> they only had to pay taxes for one year to <br /> redeem it last time. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION No.2930 <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY IN THE <br /> Commission approved Resolution No. 2930 AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br /> (1526 S.CATALPA)WHICH WILL ALLOW STAFF <br /> related to acquisition of property in the TO REGISTER AND BID ON THIS PROPERTY IN THE <br /> Airport Economic Development Area (1526 MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF$2,500 <br /> S. Catalpa) which will allow staff to register <br /> and bid on this property in the maximum <br /> amount of$2,500. <br /> 14 <br />
