REGULAR MEETING JULY 25, 2011 There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion to adopt this Resolution. Councilmember Kirsits seconded the motion which carried and the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight (8) ayes. BILL NO. 11-47 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, SUPPORTING THE NEED FOR QUALITY ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL SERVICES INCLUDING SPACE TO HOUSE AND CARE FOR SUCH ANIMALS AT A REASONABLE COST TO THE TAXPAYERS Councilmember Varner made a motion to continue this bill until the August 22, 2011, meeting of the Council. Councilmember Henry Davis seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILLS – FIRST READING BILL NO. 45-11 FIRST READING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, TO TRANSFER A PORTION OF VOORDE PARK TO HOOSIER TANK AND MANUFACTURING, INC. This bill had first reading. Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer this bill to the PARCS Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on August 8, 2011. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. BILL NO. 46-11 FIRST READING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE, ARTICLE 9 ADMINISTRATION, SECTION 21- 09.03 BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS AND ARTICLE 14, SUBDIVISIONS, SECTIONS 21- 14.04 MINOR SUBDIVISIONS, 21-14.05, MAJOR SUBDIVISIONS, 21-14.06, SUBDIVISION REPLATS AND 21-14.09 (b) VARIANCES This bill had first reading. Councilmember Varner made a motion to refer this bill to the Zoning and Annexation Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on August 8, 2011.
