South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1} Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for security alarm service in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(412 S. Lafayette, former Enzyme <br />Research building) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that Sonitrol Security <br />Alarms has been providing security alarm <br />services for the former Enzyme Research <br />building located at 412 S. Lafayette. The <br />proposal offers either amonth-to-month, 6- <br />month, or 12-month service. Staff <br />recommends accepting the proposal for 12 <br />months of service at a cost of $485 as the <br />best value. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />security alarm services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and accepted the <br />proposal from Sonitrol Security Alarms for <br />the scope of services and fee proposed. <br />(2) Attorney report to Redevelopment <br />Commission and request for authorization <br />to prepare documentation related to the <br />real property located at 212-218 <br />S. Michigan Street in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. <br />Ms. Greene noted that the South Bend <br />Tribune recently reported on the proposed <br />sale of the State Theatre. Staff and Legal <br />Counsel have met with the prospective <br />purchaser, Rev. Les Sumrall and his attorney, <br />James Masters, to talk about some of the <br />restrictive covenants that are of record with <br />16 <br />
