South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Rescheduled Regular Meeting -March 10, 2006
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
B. South Bend Central Development Area
(} continued...
Written Answer: Eco-Urban
Collaborative'srnnfidence is based on the
responses it has gotten during the focus
groups it has conducted, as well as the
outpouring of interest it has received as a
result of the media coverage associated
with this public bidding process. Eco-
Urban is also aware of market research in
Mishawaka that confirms its findings.
This confidence is also based on the
recent history of sales on Hill Street and
the fact that this development is located
much more centrally.
7. Description of proposed development -
timeline outlining when major development
actions will occuN
a) Please provide a timeline for the major
development actions described as
"Phase I" in your proposal.
Written Answer: The schedule for our
project is dependent upon receiving
approval from the City to proceed and
also will be impacted by the time of year
as a result of the timing of that decision.
If a decision is made in a reasonable time
frame, we anticipate construction starting
in March of 2007, with the completion of
Phase I planned for October to November
of 2007. Phase II would ideally start
construction in March of 2008 and
complete construction by March of 2009.
The following is given in months rather
than specific dates due to this uncertainty:
25
