South Bend Central Development Area <br />() continued... <br />Mr. King asked how "profit" would be <br />defined. With all the numbers submitted, <br />where do you compute the profit that <br />would be sharable? <br />Mr. Bergeman responded that prior to <br />submitting the RFP Eco-Urban sat down <br />with staff to try to get its hands around <br />this statement (the partnership). We were <br />given the impression that this would be a <br />model that we would be developing, so <br />we're willing to put our numbers on the <br />table and come to a reasonable model. <br />We did not have anything specific in <br />mind. <br />Z. Proposed Site purchase -all 0.83 acres <br />Your proposal states "Our proposal has gone <br />beyond the limits of this site to include a <br />vision for both sides of Sycamore St. north to <br />LaSalle Street, for which we estimate <br />that... another 23-69 residential units... could <br />be added...with only minimal investment by <br />the city." <br />Does this mean that you would enter into a <br />contract to purchase the Rink Site ~ if the <br />contract obligates the city to undertake the <br />further investment referred to? <br />Written Answer: No. Eco-Urban <br />Collaborative may well be interested and <br />willing to enter into a contract to purchase the <br />Rink Site without any commitment on the <br />city's part to undertake further investment. <br />However, while Eco-Urban may not require a <br />14 <br />
