Tax Abatements <br />() continued... <br />The home will have a detatched garage and <br />either cedar siding or cement board siding <br />to be compatible with the neighborhood. <br />The windows and other detail are also <br />intended to be compatible with existing <br />homes. <br />Mr. King noted that Mr. & Mrs. <br />Sniegowski have not only been longtime <br />residents of the Northeast Neighborhood, <br />but have both contributed in more ways <br />than anyone can count to keeping that <br />neighborhood viable and to the <br />revitalization that is going on now. Mrs. <br />Sniegowski is a member of the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Revitalization Organization <br />board of directors and Mr. Sniegowski is <br />secretary of the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Council. Building this house in the <br />neighborhood is just one more way in <br />which they will contribute to the <br />revitalization of that neighborhood. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution <br />No. 2227 approving an application for real <br />property tax deduction for property located <br />at 917 North St. Peter St. in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area.
