South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -February 3, 2006 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Tax Abatements <br />(1} Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2227 approving an <br />application for residential tax deduction <br />for property located at 917 North St. <br />Peter Street in the Northeast <br />Neighborhood Development Area. <br />(Barbara Virginia Sniegowski Revocable <br />Trust) <br />Mr. Mathia noted that at the time the <br />application for tax abatement was filed, the <br />Sniegowskis were in the process of <br />purchasing 917 N. St. Peter St. from the <br />Northeast Neighborhood Revitalization <br />Organization. They have since completed <br />the purchase and added it to the trust. <br />Mr. Mathia gave the staff report on the <br />project. The Sniegowskis will construct a <br />new 2000 sft, single story home with seven <br />rooms, two bathrooms and a full basement <br />on the property. The cost of the home will <br />be approximately $250,000. <br />The Northeast Neighborhood <br />Revitalization Organization (the petitioner) <br />has not been associated with any previous <br />tax abatements. The property is properly <br />zoned for the proposed use. The property <br />is located in the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Development Area, which is a tax <br />increment allocation area; therefore, the <br />petition for real property tax abatement <br />must first be approved by the South Bend <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />20 <br />
