South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission authorized use of the Wayne <br />Street garage in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area on June 3 and June 4, <br />2005. (South Bend Park Department for <br />World's Largest Garage Sale) <br />(3) Commission authorization requested to <br />use the LaSalle Hotel parking lot located <br />at 237 North Michigan Street in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area on <br />March 16 and March 17, 2005. (DTSB <br />St. Paddy's Day Downtown Event) <br />Mr. Mathia reported that Downtown South <br />Bend, Inc. (DTSB) has requested permission <br />to use the LaSalle Hotel parking lot March <br />16 and 17, 2005 to set up and hold the second <br />annual "St. Paddy's Day Downtown" tent <br />party event. The parking lot is located at 237 <br />North Michigan Street. <br />As was done last year, people who normally <br />park in the LaSalle lot will be provided <br />temporary parking in parking garages and <br />given free courtesy passes to the event. <br />DTSB will hire its own security personnel to <br />monitor the crowd and traffic in the <br />immediate area. No one under 21 will be <br />admitted. The event will feature a live band <br />and a fully licensed caterer.
