South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —June 14, 2011 <br />among various projects, and the intended <br />uses of the additional appropriation including <br />replenishment of a reserve so that as projects <br />are ready to move ahead, there will be funds <br />available to pursue those projects. <br />Mr. Varner questioned if this was the <br />statutory annual notice that TIF funds are <br />needed in the TIF area. Mr. Inks replied that, <br />no, that notice will be made at the June 28 <br />meeting. It is due by mid -July each year. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the public hearing file is <br />complete, containing (1) a copy of <br />Resolution No. 2880 determining to make the <br />appropriation and public hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2881; (2) a copy of the notice <br />of the hearing; (3) a copy of Resolution <br />No. 2881; Mr. Inks noted that we do not yet <br />have the affidavit from the South Bend <br />Tribune verifying a notice was published in <br />the newspaper on June 3, 2011, but staff did <br />personally verify that notice was made in the <br />South Bend Tribune on that day and we are <br />expecting an affidavit delivered from the <br />SBT shortly. We did receive (4) the affidavit <br />from the Tri- County News that the notice of <br />hearing was published on June 3, 2011. <br />Ms. Jones opened the public hearing for <br />anyone who wished to speak for or against <br />Resolution No. 2881. There was no one who <br />wished to speak. Ms. Jones closed the public <br />hearing for whatever action the Commission <br />wished to take. <br />(2) Consideration of Resolution No. 2881 <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2881 <br />appropriating tax increment financing <br />13 <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 2881 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2881 <br />APPROPRIATING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING <br />REVENUES FROM ALLOCATION AREA NO.
