REGULAR MEETINGOCTOBER 10, 2005 <br />This bill had first reading. Councilmember Rouse made a motion to refer this bill to the <br />Area Plan Commission. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a <br />voice vote of seven (7) ayes. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Councilmember Kirsits advised that the Utilities Committee will hold a Public Hearing <br />on Bill Nos. 72-05; 73-05 and 74-05 on November 14, 2005 and on October 24, 2005 <br />Gary Gilot, City Engineer will give a report under Reports from City Offices. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilmember Varner advised that MACOG Michiana Area Council of Governments <br />will be meeting regarding Governor Daniels proposed changes to Road Improvements <br />and the next 10 year scheduling of repairs and improvements. <br />Councilmember Rouse advised that he has attended five (5) new conferences: 1. The <br />Lincolnway West Corridor announced that the new flower boxes would be placed in <br />various locations within the next couple of weeks. 2. The Weed & Seed Program will be <br />implemented at LaSalle Park Homes. 3. $156,000 has been awarded to twenty After <br />School Programs. These are great programs that offer safe, productive activities for kids, <br />and promote an anti-gang, non-violent message. 4. The Reception for the Sister City <br />Program with Azberg, Germany, was well attended. 5.
