Councilmember <br />Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br />BILL NO. 57-05 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL OF THE COMMON <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />MAKING TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS TO <br />ORDINANCE 9450-03 AND 9527-04 FIXING THE <br />MAXIMUM SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS <br />AND NON-BARGAINING EMPLOYEES IN THE <br />YEARS 2004 AND 2005 <br />Councilmember White made a motion to hear the substitute version of this bill. <br />Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) <br />ayes. <br />Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to amend the substitute bill. Councilmember <br />Varner seconded the motion, which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes <br />Ms. Catherine Fanello, City Controller, 1400 County-City Building, South Bend, Indiana, <br />made the presentation for this bill. <br />Ms. Fanello advised that bill allows for the technical corrections to be made to Ordinance <br />Nos. 9450-03 and 9527-04 fixing the maximum salaries of appointed officers and non- <br />bargaining employees in the years 2004 and 2005. This bill amends retroactively the <br />2004 and 2005 salary ordinances to authorize a car allowance for Department Heads and <br />key employees.
