REGULAR MEETINGNOVEMBER 27, 2006 <br />Resolution in its entirety and presenting it to Coach Bartholomew and the members of the <br />Brown Intermediate Center Boys Cross Country Team. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />There was no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this Resolution. <br />Mr. James Bartholomew, Head Coach, Brown Intermediate Center Boys Cross Country <br />Team, thanked the Council for this honor. Coach Bartholomew advised that these boys <br />have been running since school started and continue to run even with the season being <br />over. He stated that they are a great group of boys who excel both on and off the track. <br />Councilmember Kirsits made a motion to adopt this Resolution by acclamation. <br />Councilmember Pfeifer seconded the motion which carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3665-06 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br /> PUBLICLY COMMENDING THE CORPUS <br /> CHRISTI CATHOLIC SCHOOL GIRLS <br /> SOFTBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2006 <br /> ICCL CHAMPIONSHIP <br />Whereas, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is proud to <br />recognize that Corpus Christi Catholic School is located at 2817 Corpus Christi Drive in <br />South Bend and provides educational opportunities for students from pre-kindergarten to <br />th <br />8 grade which recognizes self-discipline, personal responsibility and the dignity of all <br />persons; and <br />Whereas, the Council notes that Corpus Christi Catholic School has a diverse <br />coed population of 438 students with ethnic backgrounds including Asian Pacific <br />Islander, Hispanic, African American and Caucasian; is associated with the National <br />Catholic Educational Association; has a student/teacher ratio of 25 to 1; and offers sports <br />thth <br />programs for 5 through 8 grade boys in football, soccer, basketball, baseball and <br />thth <br />wrestling and for 5 through 8 grade girls in soccer, softball, volleyball, basketball, <br />track and cheerleading; and <br />Whereas, the Common Council would especially like to publicly recognize <br />coaches Bob Schaeper, Carl Bals, Emma Falcon and Larry Falcon, and the following <br />thth <br />named student-athletes on the Corpus Christi 7-8 Grade Girls Softball Teamand all of <br />“”2006 Inter- <br />the individuals associated with the Corpus Christi Cougarswho won the <br />City Catholic League (ICCL) Championship <br /> who had a team record of 10-1, and beat St. <br />Anthony 3-2, in the ICCL Championship game: <br />Ann Marie Lindzy Kate O’Brien Emma Gerhold <br />Annie Bednarek Theresa Kinney Gretchen Cyr <br />Jenny Bals Delia Falcon Jenny Magor <br />Tiffany Schindler Jessica Ferro Finda Kamanda <br /> Katie McNamera <br /> Now, Therefore, be it resolved, by the Common Council of South Bend, Indiana, <br />as follows: <br />Section I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the <br />Common Council hereby congratulates each and every member on the CORPUS <br />THTH <br />CHRISTI 7 & 8 GRADE GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM along with their Principal, <br />Susan LaPeer, their Athletic Director, Louis Berthold, and their Pastor Rev.
