REGULAR MEETING APRIL 10, 2006 <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this bill, Councilmember Dieter made a motion for favorable <br />recommendation to full Council concerning this bill as substituted. Councilmember <br />Kirsits seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of seven (7) ayes. <br />BILL NO. 23-06 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL OF THE <br /> COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE <br /> ACQUISITION AND INSTALLATION OF <br /> CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY’S <br /> SEWAGE WORKS, THE ISSUANCE AND SALE <br /> OF ADDITIONAL REVENUE BONDS TO <br /> PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF <br /> THE COSTS THEREOF, AND THE <br /> COLLECTION, SEGREGATION AND <br /> DISTRIBUTION OF THE REVENUES OF SUCH <br /> SEWAGE WORKS AND OTHER RELATED <br /> MATTERS <br />Councilmember Kirsits made a motion to hear the substitute version of this bill. <br />Councilmember Dieter seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of seven (7) <br />ayes. <br />Councilmember Kirsits, Chairperson, Utilities Committee reported that this Committee <br />met this afternoon and it was the consensus of the Committee to send this substitute bill <br />to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. <br />th <br />Mr. Gary Gilot, Board of Public Works, 13 Floor County-City Building, South Bend, <br />Indiana, made the presentation for this bill. <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this substitute Sewage Works Bond Ordinance has one change and <br />that is in Section XXIII, where the ordinance number and date of adoption have been <br />added. <br />This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this bill, Councilmember Puzzello made a motion for favorable <br />recommendation to full Council concerning this bill as substituted.
