It is affiliated with the Indiana Association of Cities and <br /> Towns (IACT) and is a sponsor of the annual grade school "If I Were Mayor" essay contest. <br /> "Ann-Carol's election as president of IMLA is a tremendous achievement for her and for South <br /> Bend, said Mayor Luecke. "Her selection by the Association recognizes Ann-Carol's expertise <br /> and her willingness to share her knowledge and experience with others. In addition, the City of <br /> South Bend will also benefit from the knowledge that she will gain as she networks with other <br /> legal professionals from around the state." <br /> Ms. Nash graduated from Notre Dame Law School in 1987 and served as a judicial clerk for the <br /> Hon. Michael E. Dodge in Cass County, Michigan, and the Hon Robert L. Miller, Jr. in the <br /> United States District Court in South Bend. In 1995, she left private practice to become an <br /> Assistant City Attorney for the City of South Bend. She concentrates on public safety litigation, <br /> serves on Mayor Stephen Luecke's Neighborhood Task Force and coordinates the City's Local <br /> Government Academy. <br />
