REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 23, 2006
responsible development and growth to rezone properties for commercial uses that are
adjacent to existing commercial areas and that will not have significant impacts on
residential areas. Based on information available prior to the public hearing staff
recommends that this be sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation.
The area to be rezoned is an extension of the southern and eastern “CB” Community
Business zoning district. This rezone is requested to facilitate and off-
premise sign. This sign is being erected in exchange for the removal of six (6) other off-
premise signs that have been removed throughout the City. The zoning is consistent with
the surrounding area.
This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents
and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard.
There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in
opposition to this bill, Councilmember Puzzello made a motion for favorable
recommendation to full Council concerning this bill.
