REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 9, 2006 <br />SECTION V. The Common Council hereby determines that the property owner is <br />qualified for and is granted Real property tax deduction for a period of five (5) years, and <br />further determines that the petition complies with Chapter 2, Article 6, of the Municipal <br />Code of the City of South Bend and Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1 et seq. <br />SECTION VL This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br />adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />s/Timothy A. Rouse <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Mr. Derek Spier, Abonmarche Consultants, 750 Lincoln Way East, South Bend, Indiana, <br />made the presentation for this bill. <br />Mr. Spier advised that this is section 4 of the project and will develop thirty-five (35) lots <br />on 11.3 acres of a total development that will eventually contain two hundred sixty-six <br />(266) homes on 116.206 acres on the south side of Kern Road. This property was <br />recently annexed into the City of South Bend. The homes will be stick-built, single <br />family homes approximately 1m800 to over 2,000 square feet. The homes will be <br />constructed by Weiss Homes, Inc. The average cost of the homes within the <br />development will be approximately $135,000 with a total value for this section of <br />$4,725,000. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember Kuspa made a motion to adopt this <br />Resolution.
