PROGRESS REPORTS
Mr. Gibney noted that there is a lot of construction PROGRESS REPORTS
going on south of Memorial Hospital, with curb cuts and
metal roll bumpers coming out, removing trees growing
in middle of parking areas. We began last fall by putting
a new face on the Bartlett Street parking garage. We are
working full speed ahead to enhance that whole drive
coming into South Bend. The land in front of the
Masonic Temple will be landscaped. Memorial Hospital
lends all that parking for free parking for special event
nights at the Morris Civic Auditorium. We estimate that
the work will be done by July..
Ms. Jones asked whether we will be done with the
medical TIF. Mr. Gibney responded that the hospital is
generating that medical TIF and we're putting it back
into improvements. It provides other benefits as well.
Mr. Gibney added that he was at the Rink site and work
is still in progress. Mr. Matthews is personally
improving the appearance of the Mannaerchor Club.
25
