Through building working relationships between the <br /> City, the Neighborhood Resource Corporation, neighborhood residents and community <br /> organizations,we can strategically catalyze growth and neighborhood improvements." <br /> Luci Spaulding,LaSalle Neighborhood Partnership Center Committee Chair, and Susan <br /> Adamek,LaSalle Area NPC Coordinator,have been instrumental in informing residents about <br /> the relocation of the Partnership Center. "The residents serving on the LaSalle NPC Committee <br /> felt a strong desire to relocate to Huey Street to begin work as an agent for positive change and <br /> to provide opportunities for resident empowerment," said Ms. Spaulding. "All neighborhood <br /> residents we've spoken with are excited about this program." <br /> The NPC Program seeks to move the Centers to a new location approximately every three <br /> to five years. "This move to Huey street marks the beginning of new substantial public <br /> investment in this neighborhood," Council woman Charlotte Pfeifer remarked. "The programs <br /> and services offered at the LaSalle Area Neighborhood Partnership Center will help residents to <br /> build on the assets in their neighborhood to overcome challenges." <br /> -30- <br />
