City of South Bend—Western/Wayne Re-development <br /> March 1, 2011 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br />� FEE FOR SERVICES <br />� <br />� <br /> We propose to perform the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment(TASK 1)for a Lump Sum Fee <br /> of $1,700. Our Phase I Report will be submitted within three (3) weeks of our receipt of the <br /> attached Proposal Acceptance page, assuming that access for the on-site reconnaissance is <br /> provided within a period of three(3)days of signed Authorization. <br /> An ESTIMATED COST for Phase II Environmental Assessment Services (Task 2) with respect to <br /> the Environmental Assessment is presented as follows: <br /> Field Engineering Services/Project Management $1,600 <br /> Geoprobe Rental (assumes 1-day @$1,500/day, including mobilization) $1,500 <br /> Laboratory Analysis: <br /> 28 soil samples for% Moisture @$15/sample $ 400 <br /> 12 surface soil samples for analysis of RCRA metals @$85/sample $1,020 <br /> 8 subsurface soil samples for analysis of cPAHs @ $90/sample $ 720 <br /> 8 subsurface soil samples for analysis of VOCs @ $85/sample $ 680 <br /> 8 groundwater samples for analysis of VOCs @ $85/sample $ 680 <br /> Terra Core Sampling Kits for collection of soil samples (40 kits @$15/kit) $ 600 <br /> Survey Services $ 600 <br /> Reporting 1 400 <br /> ESTIMATED COST $9,200 <br /> The Phase II Environmental Site Assessment will be coordinated with the Phase I Assessment <br /> effort with respect to any specific recognized environmental conditions that may be identified. We <br /> anticipate that the Phase II Site Assessment will commence within two (2) weeks of proposal <br /> authorization. We anticipate field work requiring up to 2 days. Laboratory analysis will be <br /> completed on a one-week turnaround from the date on which the samples are received by the <br /> laboratory. Completion of a Letter Report summarizing the results of the Phase II will be completed <br /> within one-week of receipt of such results by WP. <br /> The Survey of Utility Connections (TASK 3) can be performed for a Lump Sum Fee of $1,200, <br /> inclusive of the Survey Map documenting such connections for subsequent incorporation into a <br /> comprehensive Plan for Re-Development and submittal to the St. Joseph County Area Plan <br /> Commission. The Survey of Utility Connections will be completed during the time period that the <br /> Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments are undertaken. <br /> AUTHORIZATION <br /> Wightman Petrie appreciates the opportunity to be of service on this project, and is prepared to <br /> commence work immediately upon your acceptance of this proposal.
