This project is a cleanup and removal of facets of the creek condition that reflect deferred maintenance (small invasive tree shoots in the creek channel) or past ill-conceived access solutions. Bowman Creek has a fence around it that is inconsistent with environmental justice (one would not find a creek in a chain -link fence in a middle income or affluent neighborhood). The purpose of this SEP is to clean up and beautify the creek and adjacent properties so as to improve the creek's local environmental condition. The described project area is part of a 2- mile stretch, in which about 30% of its entirety is underground in various areas.
