<br />Raise the tracks of the New York Central Ra iltaod Co. beginning on the west at aboi
<br />about station 4 3X34, thence ascending easterly on a.406per cant grade to about
<br />sta�tiUn 4509 X 3, thence continuing easterly on an aseen iz%g grarie of .385 per cent
<br />to about station 453E X 509 thence on a level grade to about station 4567 X009 thence
<br />on a descending grade of .05 per cent to about station 4574X00, thence on a level
<br />grade to about station 4586 X00, thence on a descending grade of .30per cent to an
<br />intersection with the present grade at about station 4628X00. The grade intersections
<br />being connected by suitable vertical curves as shown on track profile dated Sept. 811925
<br />and marked " Exhibit B". The above grade line as adopted will necessitate raising the
<br />tracks Bf. he Grand Trunk Western Ry. & the Illinois Division of the -New York Central
<br />R. R, at theirintersection with those of the main line of the New York Central R. R.
<br />The streets at which grades are to be separated are Chapin St. Scott St.,
<br />Prairie Ave., Lafayette St. Main St., Michigan St, and Bronson St s..Fellows St., Sample,
<br />St., Marietta St., High St., and Miami St.
<br />In Addition to the subways to be constructed, it will be necessary to raise the
<br />point of intersection of the tracks and the roadways at the following min line grade
<br />crossings;- Cherry St., Division St., Arnold St., Leer St., and Illinois Division
<br />grade crossings at Arnold St., South Walnut St., and Harris St. Grade crossings at
<br />Rash St., Ohio St., and Marine St.,.are to be vacated.
<br />The grade separation work to be done in accordance with modifiers Resolution
<br />passed by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Ind., Jean. 9,19251
<br />which resolution provides as follows:
