Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br />March 2S, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />No one from the public spoke in favor or in opposition to the Bili. <br />Following discussion, Council Member ^inter made a motion, seconded by Council <br />Member Kelly that Substitute Bill No. 12-07 be recommended favorably to Council. The <br />motion passed. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />Dr. Varner noted that he has appointed J. Edward Talley to be the citizen member of <br />this committee and he is very excited and enthused to be on it. <br />Dr. Varner noted that on April 2, 2007 the LED bid opening will take place. A meeting <br />will take place on this on April 4, 2007. Council Member Dieter expressed an interest to <br />attend along with Council Member Dieter. Mr. Littrell stated that he would get back to <br />the Council as to the exact time for this meeting by email. <br />Dr. Varner congratulated Mr. Littrell far being selected by the American Society of Civil <br />Engineers as the "Engineer of the Year". <br />Mr. Littrell thanked the Council and noted that he "stands on the shoulders of giants, <br />such as Rollin Farrand, Sr. who received the award in earlier years. Ne has good co- <br />workers and a great staff'. <br />Mr. Littrell stated that Al Greek, Manager of the Wastewater Plant will present on <br />Wednesday and Thursday at 8 a.m. on inter-generational differences.
