Zoning Adn-dnintrator
I hope the following information will answer any questions or confusion concerning this petition_
1) An Assisted Living Home is allowed only by a Special Exception in the "SF1"
Residential District. The Council determines on a case -by -case basis the feasibility of
sucb a proposition.
2) Licensing by the State is not required until the use includes at least 10 people.
3) If the location serves 5 people or more, tliey must meet the building requirements for
a commercial facility. This includes exiting, emergency lighting, parking and toilet
facilities.
4) At the B7_A presentation, the minutes reflect that the number of "elderly" people
would be 1 -3 and l or 2 caregivers. We will bold them to these numbers since they
were represented and are part of the record.
Anything beyond the scope of the previous statements can be determined by questioning the
petitioner(s).
Please feel fi-ce to contact me if you have any further questions concenain.g building or zoning
issues.
Sincere]
Charles Bulot
Interim Building Commissioner
Fried In Clerk's Qlliee
DEC - 5 s
,0a
CrrY ClE2K,
