Mr. Dennis Andres. Page 2 of 4 <br />PROPOSAL: JON R. HUNT PLAZA October 14, 2010 <br />MAINTENANCE AND MASTER PLAN <br />We offer to perform the following: <br />PART I. SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br />A. RECOMMENDATIONS TO RESTORE THE FOUNTAIN <br />1. Confirm existing equipment conditions and obtain any available information from <br />City sources to determine maintenance history and experience with ongoing <br />problems and hazards. <br />2. Provide summary findings and initial recommendations. Recommendations might <br />include constructing a new vault or procuring space inside of the adjacent Morris <br />Civic Auditorium. Recommendations will be reviewed and coordinated with the <br />HERCEG Team and the OWNER. Architectural /Civil /Structural implications will <br />be evaluated and reported by HERCEG. <br />3. Provide a diagrammatic plan indicating locations of major existing and proposed <br />components, if required, to clarify intent of recommendations. <br />4. As a part of our investigation, HERCEG may recommend electrical testing of <br />wiring and equipment. The HERCEG Team will assist in coordinating this testing <br />by a licensed electrical contractor or testing agency, but procuring these services <br />will be the responsibility of the Owner. <br />B. MAINTANANCE PLAN FOR FOUNTAIN <br />1. Document regular maintenance activities necessary for regular operation of the <br />Fountain. <br />2. Design schedule for regular maintenance activities to proactively keep Fountain <br />in good working order. <br />3. Prepare estimate of probable costs of maintenance activities to assist budgeting. <br />C. MAINTANANCE PLAN FOR PLAZA AND PARK <br />1. Document regular maintenance activities necessary for regular operation of the <br />paved Plaza and adjacent lawn area Park. <br />2. Design schedule for regular maintenance activities to proactively keep Plaza and <br />Park in good working order. <br />3. Prepare estimate of probable costs of maintenance activities to assist budgeting. <br />D. MASTER PLAN FOR PLAZA AND PARK <br />1. Meet with designated City and Morris Performing Arts Center personnel to <br />discuss and brainstorm improvements to the Plaza and Park areas. <br />Improvements may include, but are not limited to new fencing, pavement <br />replacement, lighting, etc. <br />2. Prepare Master Plan document defining projects to be developed over a 3 -year <br />schedule. <br />3. Prepare schematic design plan of Plaza and Park showing proposed <br />improvements. <br />
