Our high standards promote
energy efficiency — essential when designing complex facilities that are high energy
consumers. We use our understanding of high performance design challenges
F
to facilitate sustainable design strategies appropriate to your facility's unique
needs. Our integrated balance of architecture and engineering adds benefit to this
approach. By bringing disciplines to the table early in the process, we consider how
the sustainability of spaces relates to the systems and structures that support them.
-
Along with the stewardship and long -term benefits that sustainable design brings,
_
obtaining LEED® certification from the U.S. Green Building Council can make a
BSA LifeStructures is prepared to
statement that differentiates your facility from others in your marketplace. Some clients have opted to obtain LEED® certification, others
do not. Regardless of the level of commitment, we are looking at ways to further
increase the sustainability of the facilities we design.
Upon completion of the design stage, BSA LifeStructures offers additional services
such as construction administration and commissioning to maintain the intended
sustainability design goals. Additional services consist of processes to preserve the
owner's requirements and for the facility to achieve maximum performance. Most
importantly, we work with you to consider feasibility and return on investment for
implementing sustainable design strategies.
Beyond being good for the environment, building green brings economic benefits
that can include:
• Reduced operating costs
• Enhanced asset value
• Increased staff satisfaction
• Maximized life -cycle economic performance
