South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting — November 2, 2010 <br />The analysis will consist of five geoprobes to <br />be installed around the perimeter of the <br />property to collect water and soil samples. <br />The water samples will be tested to <br />determine from which direction the <br />Tetrachroethylene is coming from, and that <br />this site is not the source of the <br />contamination. Phifer Environmental has <br />proposed a cost for these environmental <br />services not to exceed $5,175. Staff <br />recommends approval. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted the proposal from <br />Phifer Environmental Services for <br />Supplemental Phase II Environmental <br />Assessment of 1521/1527 S. Kendall Street <br />for the scope of services and fee proposed. <br />(3) Resolution No. 2786 related to acquisition <br />of property in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. (202 & 130 E. Sample <br />Street, 125 & 127 E. Ohio Street, Sinco <br />Pools) <br />Mr. Relos noted that Sinco Pools was added <br />to the Airport Economic Development Area <br />Acquisition List by Resolution No. 2668 on <br />May 21, 2010. It is a one story masonry and <br />cement block, 16,100 square foot building, <br />comprised of 9,048 square feet of office / <br />showroom and 7,062 square feet of shop / <br />warehouse space. Land area is 27,857 square <br />feet, or .64 acres. It contains four abutting <br />parcels, two along East Sample Street and <br />two along East Ohio Street.
