Ms. Kolata noted that the Commission has done a lot of remediation on the Studebaker Stamping Plant property, but there are still soiree areas that have materials in the soil. This grant is also for $160,000, but it is the same $160,000 as mentioned previously. The budget for this application is more than for the fornler railroad property, at $117,000. Our intent is to pay for the remediation on the former railroad property, use the remaining money for the Stamping Plant property, and pay for the rest with TIF funds. The goal will be to not have grant money left over. We added this project because the railroad project will cost less than we originally thought. Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund Grant Agreement -Environmental Remediation at the former Studebaker Stamping Plant property.
