Airport Economic Development Area <br />(4) continued... <br />Airport Economic Development Area (1528 <br />S. Kemble Ave.) <br />(5) Resolution No. 2729 related to acquisition <br />of property in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (1510 S. Chapin) <br />Mr. Relos noted that Resolution No. 2729 <br />sets the offering price for 1510 S. Chapin at <br />$21,000. The property contains atwo-story, <br />two-bedroom single family residence. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Alford, seconded by <br />Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2729 <br />related to acquisition of property in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area (1510 <br />S. Chapin) <br />(6) Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan <br />Fund Grant Agreement -Environmental <br />Remediation at the former Railroad <br />Property south of the former Studebaker <br />Stamping Plant property <br />Ms. Kolata noted that item 6.D.(6) and <br />6.D.(7) are related to what we are calling the <br />former railroad property south of the former <br />Studebaker Stamping Plant. The land is <br />vacant. The Commission purchased it from <br />Norfolk Southern Railroad. There is some <br />soil contamination on the site. We are using <br />an EPA grant from stimulus funds to clean it <br />up. The Commission is being asked here to <br />approve a grant agreement in the amount not <br />to exceed $160,000. The budget attached to <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2729 <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OE PROPERTY IN THE <br />AIRPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />(1510 S. CHAPIN) <br />10 <br />
