Z[ENTARA <br />CONTROLLER <br />September 28, 2009 <br />Mr. Derek Dieter <br />President, South Bend Common Council <br />4`~' Floor, County-City Building <br />South Bend, 1N 46601 <br />Re: Revised Attachment to Bi1164-09 <br />Ordinance Fixing Salaries and Wages of Appointed Officers and Non-Bargaining Employees of <br />South Bend for 2010 <br />Dear President Dieter: <br />Enclosed is a revised detail sheet (Attachment to Ordinance) for the 2010 Salary Ordinance <br />setting the maximum salaries of all appointed officers and non-bargaining employees of the City of South <br />Bend. <br />The amendment to the Salary Ordinance reflected in the revised Attaclunent consists in the <br />addition of a new position: Director -Energy Conservation. The 2010 salary for this position is <br />$68,016.00. This new position does not affect in any way the 2010 General Fund budget because the <br />position will be funded entirely from an Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant for calendar <br />years 2010 and 2011. Thereafter, from 2012 forward, the position will be funded by the energy <br />consumption savings aclueved from the work and programs of the Director of Energy Conservation. <br />The addition to the detail sheet appears at page 2, and the position has been highlighted for your <br />ease of review. <br />I will present the amended version of the 2010 Salary Ordinance to the Council at its Committee <br />meeting and at the public hearing scheduled for this evening. <br />Thank you for your consideration. <br />Sincere <br />Gregg ZI ntara <br />i <br />COUNTY-CITY BUILDING 227 W.
