Bill No. 59-17- Setting 2018 Annual Salary for the City Clerk Bill No. 60-17- Settine 2018 Annual Salary for the Common Council Bill No. 61-17- Setting 2018 Annual Salary for the Mayor Kareemah Fowler, South Bend City Clerk with offices on the 4th floor of the County-City Building, stated, I submit for your consideration an ordinance that sets the salary forth for the South Bend City Clerk for 2018. The ordinance increases the City Clerk Salary for 2018 by two percent (2%), which is congruent with the proposed increase for other non-bargaining employees and other elected officials. I ask for your consideration this afternoon and thank you in advance. Committee Chair White opened the floor to questions from the Committee and Councilmembers. There were none. She then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor of or in opposition to the legislation. There were none. She then turned the floor back to the Committee for further comment or main motions. Committeemember Voorde made a motion to send Bill No. 59-17 to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. Committeemember Ferlic seconded the motion which carried unanimously by a voice vote of four(4) ayes. Tim Scott, President of the Common Council with offices on the 4th floor of the County-City Building, stated, This is a maximum two percent (2%)raise which would take our salary from $19,030 to $19,411. It has been a pleasure working with everyone on the Council. Committee Chair White opened the floor to questions from the Committee and Councilmembers. There were none. She then turned the floor back to the Committee for further comment or main motions. Committeemember Ferlic made a motion to send Bill No. 60-17 to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. Committeemember Voorde seconded this motion which carried unanimously by a voice vote of four(4) ayes. Ms. Hockenhull stated, We respectfully request, as with the Clerk and the Council, a two percent (2%) raise over the 2017 salary to take the Mayor's salary to $108,710.
