She entertained a motion to continue Bill No.51- <br /> 17, and 52-17 until October 9. She announced there would be public input at that time while the <br /> final reading and the final vote would be on October 23. Committeemember Regina Williams- <br /> Preston made a motion to continue Bill No. 51-17 and 52-17 to October 9. Committeemember <br /> John Voorde seconded the motion which carried unanimously by three (3) ayes. Committee <br /> Chair White then proceeded to give the floor to the presenters. <br /> Substitute Bill No. 50-17- Levying Taxes and Fixing the Property Taxation Rate for 2018 <br /> Jen Hockenhull, City Controller with offices on the 12'h floor of the County-City Building, <br /> stated, This is a substitute of a bill the Council heard back in August. We have gone ahead and <br /> calculated our largest possible tax levies on these various taxing units. It will be solidified by the <br /> DCGF,which is the Department of Local Government Finance, in February.
