<br />This indenture, made this I7th., d&ay of June, 1930, between Joseph
<br />Scheininger, party of the first part, and The lti.unicipal City of South Bend, by and
<br />through its }Board of Public Works, party of the second_ part, wotnesseth:
<br />Tha t the p arty of the firs t p art, for and in c onsi deration of the covan-
<br />ant s and agreements hereinafter mentioned, to be kept and performed by the party of thei!
<br />second pa rry, has demised and !_eased to the -party of the second part, the premises in
<br />the City of 6outh bend, County of bt. Joseph and State of Indiana known and described.

<br />Lots numbered four, five, and six in the Original -Plat of the 'Town of Lowell, now a part!
<br />of the city of "'ouch Bend, excepting therefrom a lot or parcel of land sixteen rods in

<br />29 3 and 4 as shorn on the recorded plat of Ester H. Millers subdivision of a prt of
<br />Lots 4, 5 and 6 in the Original Plat of the Town of Lowell, now a part of the City of
<br />South Bend. , to be occupied as a public parking place.
<br />To have and to hold some, unto the party o f the second part from the Is t.
<br />day of August, A.D. 1930 until the 31st., day of July 1933, A. D. And the party of the

<br />second party, in consideration of said demise, does covenant and agree with the party of
<br />the first part as follows: �
<br />First. To pay as rent for said demised premises the -sum, of 15,600.00 1I
<br />payable at the rate pf Four hundred Thirty three and 33/I00 Dollars per month, said
<br />payment to be made on the first day of July and the Ist ., day of January of each year during
<br />the life of said lease, as to any accrued and unpaid rent, provided., however, that any
<br />unpaid rent shall be due and payatale as of July Ist. , I933. Party of the second pert I
<br />is hereby given an option to lease said premises for a period of five years from the
