General: <br />Type. <br />Construction: <br />Moldboard to be actuated by two (2) 4" double acting cylinders <br />mounted horizontally on thesarape' by 3/4" thick reinforced steel <br />trunnion brackets. Trunnion bearings shall bet" OD x 1 1/4" <br />carbon steel. <br />Blade down pressure shall be adjustable and with no less than 1,500 <br />lbs. maximum to be set at 600 PSI . <br />Al I f itti ngs to be A G. Push on f itti ngs shall not be accepted. <br />Underbody scrapers shall be furnished with 8" x 3/4 standard <br />carbon flame hardened blades. <br />Moldboard shall have repl aoeabl e bl ade and end bits. <br />Power reverse shall be cab controlled. <br />U nderbody grease zerts shall be central ly I ocated. <br />Specifications for Snow Plow Quick Hitch Lar e <br />Snow plow quick hitch shal I be heavy duty type to be used for street <br />and/or highway snow plowing by heavy duty trucks. Hitch shall be <br />designed to permit adequate lift and full radiusswing of hydraulic <br />controlled power reversing snow plows. <br />Snow plow hitch shall be an automatic snap coupling type, 34" wide, <br />equipped with 3" diameter by 10" stroke hydraulic lift cylinder. <br />Automatic locking shall be accompl ished by dual cam actuated <br />spring loaded locking lugs. A lever shall be provided for retraction <br />of locking lugs. Locking lugs shall be 1 - 7/8" minimum diameter with roller <br />bearingsto aid in lifting and lowering plow. <br />Truck Half: Thetruck half of the automatic snap coupling hitch shall <br />beM' wide, 42" high and shall befabricated from 3/8" thick structural <br />steel, adequately cross membered and securely mounted on the trucks <br />extended front frame. Bottom support members shal I be securely <br />attached to the main frame of truck chassis at approxi mately the center <br />of thefront axle. Anti -thrust plating shall be incorporated to prevent <br />transverse movement of hitch and rearward thrust against triangulating <br />bottom support members Stabilizer bars shall be connected between <br />top portion of the hitch and mainframe of the truck. All fasteners shall <br />be of the high tensile type. A lift arm and base support for the hydraulic <br />cylinder shall be included. Lift arm to be one solid piece of314' material <br />with one piece 2112" x 3114' long cold rolled round welded on the lift arm <br />22 <br />
