Bidder MUST be an authorized representative of the manufacturer and able to provide <br />complete warranty service, <br />Heavy Duty Note: Body builder must have a pre build conference: with the NO <br />Dump Body: purchaser to go over layout and placement off all equipment <br />and two such sessions during equipment installation. No <br />equipment shall be installed without approved authorization <br />from purchaser. <br />BODY: <br />These specifications shall describe a heavy-duty dump body, lee and <br />Snow control equipment to be used by the City of South Bend Water <br />Department to maintain the streets. The equipment will consist of <br />Dump Body, underbody scraper, and a load sense central hydraulics <br />system, cable controlled with electronically controlled spreader. All <br />construction shall meet or exceed industries standards. Welding <br />shall comply with current AWS procedures. <br />Alternate to these specifications shall be noted separately at the end <br />of the proposal. <br />NOTE: To insure a proper working body and one that will meet the <br />city's needs, all placements of bed, hitch, lights, etc. shall be <br />approved by the city before installation. Body shall be heavy duty <br />168" in length Inside width shall be 86". <br />Note: there shall not be more than a two inch radius between the <br />floor and side wall.
