Transfer Switch Inspection <br />A trained technician from your company will perform all of the following points and take <br />corrective action, if any, that needs to be taken. The Contractor shall provide Infrared <br />Testing for all Transfer Switches on Loaded Generators. Infrared Testing Reports shall <br />be submitted with the required checklists and documentation prior to leaving the facility <br />where service is performed (same day of service). Where applicable and when permitted <br />by the customer, during each visit you will check and/or replace the following: <br />DE -ENERGIZED <br />1. Check all terminal <br />connections for tightness. <br />2. Re -torque connections, TS <br />Mounting, contact mounting <br />and terminal strips <br />DISABLED <br />1. Inspect all insulation for <br />degradation. <br />2. Inspect barriers and arc <br />chutes. <br />3. Inspect Transfer Switch coil, <br />rectifier and resistors <br />(OHMS) <br />4. <br />Inspect the coil and contacts <br />of the following. <br />5. <br />Selector relay. <br />6. <br />Lockout relay. <br />7. <br />Arming relay. <br />8. <br />Voltage relay. <br />9. <br />Normal relay. <br />10. <br />Emergency relay. <br />11. <br />All other accessory relays. <br />12. <br />Inspect all timers. <br />13. <br />Inspect and infiared arcing <br />contacts where possible. <br />14. <br />Inspect and infrared main <br />contacts where possible. <br />15. <br />Inspect linkage and lubricate <br />as necessary. <br />16. <br />Clean the exposed Transfer <br />Switch coil core and <br />lubricate. <br />17. <br />Clean and vacuum Transfer <br />Switch enclosure and <br />controls. <br />18. Inspect transfer switch and <br />enclosure for corrosion, <br />moisture and/or chemicals. <br />19. Inspect and lubricate cabinet <br />hardware for proper <br />operation. <br />20. Re -lubricate the transfer <br />switch operator and pivot <br />points. <br />21. Replace defective switch <br />indicator bulbs. <br />1040 B1 tIM-MOft <br />I. Record Utility Voltage. <br />2. Record Utility Amperage. <br />3. Record Peak Amperage. <br />4. Check for proper operation of <br />the transfer switch, timers, <br />relays, remote start contact, <br />exercisers, phase monitors, <br />and record settings. <br />5. Check for voltage drop across <br />the main current carrying <br />contacts. <br />6. Check for excessive heat <br />build-up with infrared <br />thermometer. <br />7. Record emergency voltage. <br />8. Record emergency <br />frequency. <br />9. Inspect all optional <br />accessories. <br />BYPASS/ISOLATION SWITCHES <br />10. Inspect arcing contacts. <br />11. Inspect main contacts. <br />
