Oliver Davis Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council Vice-President Gavin Ferlic Chairperson,Committee The August 7, 2017 Executive Session of the South Bend Common Council was of the Whole called to order by Council President Tim Scott at 5:00 p.m. in the Council's Informal Meeting Room to interview prospective candidates for the South Bend Common Tim Scott Council Attorney position. First District Persons in attendance included Council Members Tim Scott,Dr. David Varner,Karen Regina Williams Preston White,John Voorde, Oliver Davis, Regina Williams-Preston(late), Randy Kelly Second District (late),Jo M. Broden(late),and Council Attorney Bob Palmer. Randy Kelly The Executive Session was called pursuant to the"Notice"dated August 2, 2017 Third District (attached)which states in part that the meeting is being held pursuant to Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2)(B) for the discussion regarding"strategy in relation to pending Jo M. Broden litigation or litigation which has been threatened in writing". Fourth District This is to certify that only the subject matter discussed at this Executive Session was David Varner that contained in the August 2, 2017"Notice"which lists the agenda item "Council Fifth District discussion on wiretapping case decision by the Court of Appeals".
