Councilmember Gavin Ferlic <br /> seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of eight (8) ayes. <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> Councilmember Dr. David Varner stated that he wanted to address Jesse Davis's question <br /> regarding the tax abatement and waiver petitioned via Bill No. 17-39. Councilmember Dr. Varner <br /> stated, This has not been an uncommon occurrence. The initial filing, which is the first year that <br /> they have to get all their ducks in order—a number of abatement people miss that, for whatever <br /> reason,without assigning any fault. The understanding is that we can correct it directly the first <br /> time and allow for it,but there's eight(8) or nine (9) or ten(10) more years left in the abatement, <br /> 7 <br />
